Alphaville Butterfly Route enamels are here!

We’ve now taken delivery of 25 lovely enamel panels from artist Barbara Disney as part of the work funded by Let’s Walk Bedminster. Barbara worked with children from Holy Cross School taking a theme of butterflies and lifecycles. Each panel is now looking for a home on the walls and gateposts of the area. If you want to host one please get in touch.

The format of each panel is the same, the butterfly within an circle, to represent looking through a magnifying glass, microscope or telescope. Each panel is A5 size (148 x 210mm). All the butterflies were carefully drawn interpretations of British butterflies using a reference book to ensure accuracy. Two children worked on each design, with different ways of working, some choosing to work on the same piece of paper, others designing different elements.
